What do you guys think about print & play Warhammer 40K terrain?

We might still be a few years away from true printer print and play 3D, BUT there are some really NEAT print files for imperial buildings out there- perfect for urban warfare 40K and skirmish stuff like Shadow War or Necromunda.

Check out some of the print and play terrain HERE on The Warmaster 40K forum.

Not to hijack a 40K post, but I’ve been playing on some AMAZING print and play BATTLETECG tables recently- you can push out a ton of dense terrain and with some trees, flock, and basing really put out a fun battlefield.

The trouble with print and play 40k is model weight. I know more than one person who loves to park large and weighty flying vehicles on tall buildings. If the building cannot support the model this could become a problem. A little forethought and some extra cardboard will easily solve the problem. But it is still something to consider.

Agreed, true for 40K, not so much for Battletech or smaller scale sizes. I think print and play is best for paper and making lots of dense terrain, as soon as you start cutting foam board and pasting it on for strength, etc. now the cost is going up and you are starting to push towards just more DIY stuff or perhaps a bit more cost for plastic kits and terrain.
